DREAMLAND To Enter Studio This Week
November 17, 2008Swedish metal band DREAMLAND will enter Andy La Rocque's (KING DIAMOND) Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden this week to begin recording its new album for a March 2009 release via Dockyard 1. According to the group, "Alexx will start with the drums on Friday the 21st and then the Sonic Train will continue 'til the end of January when the album is scheduled to be finished! We are all looking forward to finally put the new songs on tape for all you fans out there! And we promise that you won't be disappointed!"
DREAMLAND last year saw both of its full-length albums released in the U.S. via Ryko Distribution / Locomotive / Dockyard 1.
The band's latest CD, "Eye for an Eye", was recorded at Joacim Cans' (HAMMERFALL) Moonshine Studio and Andy La Rocque's old studio, Los Angered Recording, where the album was also mixed. According to the group, the effort follows the melodic-yet-heavy style of their first release, "Future's Calling" (2005) "but [may] also surprise the listener here 'n' there."
